My son Jaylin was in the 7th grade enrolled in an 8th grade math course. He was having a difficult time mastering the math content. He earned a C on his progress report during the second quarter. As a result, I reached out to a few people for a recommendation for a math tutor. Ms. Diane Burgess was recommended by each person. After receiving three separate recommendations, I felt confident that she would be the best fit for Jaylin. I reached out to Ms. Burgess, and she was extremely professional, and scheduled an immediate session with Jaylin. The results were amazing! Jaylin’s grade improved from a C to an A by the end of the 2nd quarter. He earned an A for the 3rd and 4th quarter and his Math FSA scored improved from a 4 to a 5! I am certain that it was the strategic instruction provided during Jaylin’s weekly sessions with Mrs. Burgess. Not only did I witness his math grades and scores improve, but I witnessed his confidence soar. He is more willing to ask questions when he doesn’t understand and, he is not afraid to make mistakes. I highly recommend Mrs. Burgess; she is a superb educator.

After seven days of tutoring for a FAMU placement test, I finished with a 47. That's up from a 23. I appreciated Mrs. Diane. Because of her tutoring, she saved my parents and I both money and time. I would have had to take a remedial math class. Instead, after tutoring, I almost tested out and nearly exempted College Algebra. She's amazing!
